im just building my first pulse motor now.
but i am working to get my knoledge up befor i try an idea ist had.
the idea in this thread is pure bs it is running from a battery a single wound coil and a reed switch man i did this at school.
the one i am interested in is the one were he used a video tape head for the fly wheel.
from what i so he had one 2 coils one coil was set up for standerd bedini style motor another coil was set up to genrate power.
no i think if you started this up with a battery once upto speed the coil shoulkd generate the power that battery was doing.
if this is so then the bettery could be removed and should run.
i think if the gernarting coil is putting charge into a cap or maybe a supercap then this could self run.

im working on it now will let you all know more as i go at the moment i have just got my wheel made the coil im hopeing the wire out of an old pc fan wil be enogth for a bifoler coil

After my first attempt to use an Aircon fan blower motor for a rotor, I  was
soon led to the very free running VCR head assembly.

One tip, ensure you remove the ring magnet(s) from the assembly.

Good luck with your attempt.

All my current rotors are on vcr head assemblies.

at the moment i am testing with a wod wheel and a hdd spindle for the barings just found my coil i think is to small
