I live in a remote location and want to build some of the projects I see on this site, especially the bedini systems. I'm starting with practically no components and was wondering what online stores users here recommend. Things like magnets, coated wire, breadboards, ic's, resistors, capacitors, etc?

Thanks!

Hi Ya:
Thats a very open ended question. Radio Shak will mail stuff. Your local hardware store should have magnets. A lot will depend on what country you are in. That for starters will give me a good idea of where to send you.

I'm in Brazil but I regularly buy from the US. I know radioshack has probably everything I need but didn't know if it was the best place in terms of cost. I know as far as magnet wire goes, there choices seem limited.

Brazil may pose a problem as I am in the states. I do most of my components from Mouser. Not sure what they will do to you on shipping to there.  Wire will pose another problem, its gone through the roof. Last two rolls of wire cost $80 each, OUCH. Now I scavenge the best I can.

NO KIDDING! I bought about a mile of wire (23guage) a couple weeks ago, you dont even want to know how much that costs.
I wish I could turn my brain off sometimes, then I could get some sleep.
