OK. Peace! Sorry for having been "pushy".

Actually you can purchase a Congreve Rolling Ball Clock!
http://www.braithwaitesjewellery.co.uk/jewellery-detail.asp?pid=1841&lbsrch=&range=5
only ?4,450.00 inc. VAT or ?4,700.00 inc. VAT  ;D
It is not said if you have to rewind it ???

Unusual Clocks:
Clocks that are powered by temperature change, rolling ball clocks,
grasshopper clocks, some superb talking point clocks

Hi Nerzdishual,

Thanks for the further info. Have you managed to figure out where does the force come from which lifts up the tilting plane (i.e. the table) when the ball is at its lowest point and bumps into a crooked arm?

Because if I consider the plane as a two arm balance and the ball just tilted it down on one side, then there must be another force taken from somewhere which is able to lift up at least the weight of the ball plus a little more so that the tilting of the plane should surely take place to the other side.  Agree with this?

Hi Gyulasun,

Yes, I agree with you...
How can this kinda 'seesaw' could be 'rearmed' ???
This device sounds incredible.
So, there could be a 'perpetual' (=long time self powered) Clock in the British Museum
that almost nobody was aware of?

At this very link:
http://www.marcdatabase.com/~lemur/rbc-congreve.html
They actually talk about "illusion of perpetual motion".
What do they mean by 'illusion'?

The mere question is: does this device need to be winded at regular intervals?
If not, this is, IMHO, a 'perpetual' gravity powered device, according that the only
'things' that seem to be 'perpetual' in this sad world are the income, land, local,
VAT, etc taxes. ;D
