@ helmut:

What is bullshit?  I did NOT blame ANYONE for stalking ANYONE.  Read my complete post again!  I said "There is no need TO stalk the man."  To stalk means TO begin the act of stalking, not that ANYONE was up to this point.  Had I said "Quit stalking Has" that would be totally different.  That would imply that someone was already in the act of doing so.  I realize that English is not your first language so I will take no offense to your comment.  My meaning was that, now that we know he is ok, there is no further need to be looking for him.  Continued efforts AFTER this point COULD be construed as stalking.  Understand?  I am suggesting that no one BEGIN to stalk Hans, or perform any act that may be interpreted as doing so. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. You also left out the last part of my post..."Thanks again to all who helped here."  In case you did not read that, this would include YOU, and the phone contacts you attempted.  Everyone pitched in to help in a genuine concern for Hans and I, as the one that started this topic, and very grateful and appreciative of EVERYONE'S efforts.  So again, helmut, I thank you.

Technically, you are correct.  English, as you may know, has some pretty strange and inconsistent rules.  Add to that, the continued modification of those rules, and you have one strange language if you ask me.  So yes, I did type that I "heard" from Hans.  This being the past tense of "hear" which means to receive an audible message, etc. It is also very commonly used to mean a type of informing as in...."Have you heard about the earthquake?" and someone might reply..."Yes, I read about it in the paper."  This person was asking if the other was "informed" of the earthquake and the other replied that yes he was because he read about it. These are long accepted usages of this word, but, as I said, technically you are correct but no one over here speaks or writes by the technically correct rules.  I'm sure German has similar things going on with the language. Besides, your English is only about 1,000 times better than my German. (I know like 9 words)

Now, to your post.  Are you suggesting that since I did not speak with Hans that the e-mail was bogus?  What about that fellow  (I don't recall his name at the moment) that had a beer with Hans at the yacht club?  Is anyone suggesting he was lying?  What about the post from Hans? Are you suggesting that someone hacked into his account and logged on as Hans?  I am not understanding any of this.  Is any of the above possible?  Well, sure, I guess it is but taken together as a whole, I would say very, very, unlikely.  Of course, you are, as anyone is, entitled to your opinion.  Just don't take any personal offense if I do not share it.

I did not see a need to post the e-mail I received from Hans as he has posted here himself. (I believe)  Let's just wait and see.

Not literally, but figuratively we "hear" from eachother by email all the time.
Of course we're not really "hearing" emails, we're reading them.
But it's a figure of speech. "I haven't heard from him in a week" doesn't mean you
have not heard the person speak but you did see him walk through town,
it means you haven't seen, heard, smelled, or otherwise had any contact with the
person in the past week.
Bill "heard" from Hans in that way: he didn't actually hear Hans speak,
but he has had direct e-mail contact with Hans. That's what he says.
This must be some form of language barrier here, and I don't think there
ever really was a problem with that statement. Lost in translation, so to speak. ;)
(again, "speak" in a figurative meaning, as in actuality I am typing this.)

QuoteIf Hans have read now , that we are anry with him.
What?
Who was angry with Hans? I haven't seen anyone being angry with him... ???
What reason could people have to be angry with him?
I don't understand...

QuoteAn he was Excusing to us ...
Than it is not possibel , that HANS go away the 2. time after  WITHOUT to

I don't think you can say that.
Hans clearly said he never meant to stay away as long as he has,
and that he hadn't realised this would cause such a fuss on the forum.
He clearly said he was only back to attend some lecture or conference or something,
which implies that he was planning to go back out to wherever he has been
hanging out after that. Well, if he was only back to attend something he had reserved
for months ago, and was planning to go back right after that,
I can imagine he may have other things on his mind.
Perhaps he was in a hurry to get back to his friend and decided that he'd be
back home before long and would have more than enough time to reply to
everything then.
In any case he apologised for not telling us he was going to be out for a while,
and he also said it was taking longer than expected.
What else is there to know?
Do you want Hans to tell you every detail of his personal life and agenda?

QuoteHe have not answered any emails to his friends , also to his german conts.

So, somethings gi wrong with Hans
or he is just not home.
Have you ever been to Australia?
It's a big place. Visiting a friend half the country away can take weeks,
and if you're going to stay there a while to help out with something
it can easily take longer. I have helped out on a farm in a similar
large open country and I can honestly say that you really don't
think about your email that much when you're working your butt
off raising fences and fixing stuff... So maybe he's just too busy
to bother?

And in the outback most people don't have internet.
No internet access helps in not emailing. ;)

Plus, many people have their habits when it comes to emailing;
I know quite a few people who will not check nor reply to their
email when they don't have access to their own computer, even
if there is a perfectly fine webmail service. Perhaps Hans is one
of those types of people who prefer to mail at their own leisure,
when they feel like it, and especially when they are comfortable
behind their own pc.

Now I have no idea where Hans is exactly nor what he is doing,
and I feel if Hans had wanted us to know he would have told us.

I also feel Bill was sincere in his concern and is honest about
Hans contacting him briefly. Bill is not a bad guy.

If you have any good reasons for suspecting that something is wrong
with Hans, please tell us?

pese

i will belive this, eventually, if he have answered my personally email (in german).
if he logged in to excuse himself
and go with no information again ...
can not true ..
ist mysterious.
We must wait and see

Pese

Nobody have an email.
Nobody have an pic (drinking beer,
with an newspaper in hand)

othe words , will traquilise us , to wait , to forget.
