@ Bill,
@ Yucca,

Oh, but during the video you can clearly see for a fraction of a second the unmistakably look of a respectable AC motor.  It sits close to the floor (right side) and it can be seen through the moving pistons. And, just close to the beginning of the video, a power cable can be seen laying on the floor (left side), in a position that, although not seen, seems to connect to the contraption itself…

Cheers,
Tinu

Have a look at this:

It seems it works with electromagnets working like
pistons in a combustion engine.
The electromagnets seem to be only shortly pulsed...

Regards, Stefan.

this has nothing to do wir OU. it's driven by a external motor. on the picture You'll see the belt and the motor chassis. i saw this vid allready about 2 month ago. i did not follow anymore this one, because of the 2nd picture below

the motor shows up about 3:15 in the video for a second or 2 and seems to be a pretty good sized motor. i got one about that size on my bridgeport mill and it is a 3 horse 3 phase motor. so there has to be some significant energy loss when the left sides cut out and quit moving. looks pretty cool but there is no power behind it at all. if the left side can be "left behind" if the engine speeds up, what happens if you try to put a load on it.

ya, i saw that motor too. i think they might just be showing that they are able to spin a conventional crankshaft/motor setup with magnetism.

Hi Offy!  Welcome to the forum!

Hope you check out the other magnet motor threads.. I plan on starting a wiki/forum dedicated to PMMs soon.

Some gates you might want to look into are the Tri-Gate, V-Gate, and the Ring-Gate.
