And I'm pissed!
I was hoping to not have to take apart the carburator on my lawn mower today. I thought I could sit in my comfy chair and watch CNN coverage of the big alien craft, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Now my fingers smell like gasoline, and I have to watch another stupid debate tonight because the only big thing that happened was the stock market going down another 700 points.
Where is the justice, I ask you?

Hello All,

I have silently watched the proceedings here and at other spots on the internet.

First... I admit to being optimistic in regard to the human race realizing we are not alone at some point in our future.

     Hans, (my Brothers name also) and others submitting negative comments, I issue a challenge.

           From known and accepted science ...

                   1. Estimate the number of stars in our galaxy ( as well as get a grip on it's age as well as our own ).

                   2. Calculate how long it would take to visit each star for one second each... continuously.
                       (that is... 60 stars would equal 1 minute worth of time)

                   3. Calculate the probability that we are the only intelligent life in this galaxy.

                   4. Contemplate where our technology would be in 100 years... 1000 years....10,000 years... 100,000 years...
                       1 million years... blah... blah... 1 billion years !

                   5. Agree or Disagree with this statement...
                           "At some point in time the human race will come into contact with other beings from our galaxy."
                                   (note... more advanced civilizations by default would be the visitors)

If you allow yourselves to contemplate the answers to these questions... I am sure you will agree with #5

P.S. Any who remember me from my posts about Magnetic Permeability... an update.

            I have found that the resonant frequency of a transformer (2 coils and a ferromagnetic core)
