I don't believe anyone has been able duplicate Meier's photo's with today's technology much less his poorly functioning camera of that era.

That says a lot.

Meier is a contemporary. Most of his photos were from around the fifties to now. Cameras in the fifties were every inch as good as cameras produced today. A 1950's Leica for instance will match anything. He had first class gear. Poorly functioning camera of that era - my arse.
