     Water is a liquid due to the size of the hydrogen atom compared to the oxygen atom.  The hydrogen proton reacts directly with the oxygen valence electrons.  This causes the molecule to be highly positive on the end with the hydrogen and negative on the end with the shifted electron valence orbitals.
This polarized molecule then forms intermolecular bonds which are responsible for not only water's high latent heat but for it's liquid properties at room temperature.  When the water is sparked as shown in these video's it explodes because the polarized intermolecular bonds are broken and we get steam.  This steam is not due to the breaking of the intermolecular polarized bonds normally accomplished by heat input to vibrate the water molecules apart but by working on the intermolecular bond electrically.  The steam molecules will immediately condense unless they are subjected to electrical or thermal agitation for that amount of time needed to propell the piston forward.   Myer injected an ionized gas to accomplish this.  Is this free energy or just a flash steam engine?

     Don't know what part you object to in my quoted post.  But believe it or not one end of a water molecule is positive and the other is negative.  This makes water a liquid and not a gas at room temperature cause it sticks together.  It's called a polarized molecule.
    Did you even bother to read SM's patent?

times when fractured.  Just wanted to throw "compressed air"
out there. Would make for an interesting experiment, for sure.

Electrolysis does not create the steam. Electrolysis creates the gasses which are of a lot lower density than the density of the water vapor. Hence, there's not enough pressure for any useful work, although these gasses expand.

Water expands, when heated, much more than either of the gasses individually. Oxygen and hydrogen molecules separated from the water molecule have so much smaller volume that to pressurise them you would need a LOT of water to create any useful pressure.

I just can't see that being of any use at all. Water is a lot better for that purpose. And safer. Pressurising hydrogen, for example, is a lot trickier and a dash more dangerous than pressurising water. Throwing in compressed gas is just a waste of energy which will not lead to overunity, only explosion of hydrogen. The goal is to spend as little of energy as possible, not the other way around.

And replacing an air compressor with water splitter? How on earth would you engineer that? Two completely incompatible functions. You could run a compressor on hydrogen or electricity from it, but would you achieve overunity? Not on a current level of knowledge.
