I found this a very informative movie. It showed many things i believe many people here believe in and can identify with. Since I'm religious I don't agree with that part in the movie. Other than that it's a real eye opener. Earth doesn't need politics or the economy it needs to be social and technological.

Hello Broli,

It has been some time since I viewed this film, but as far as I recall the "religious part" was an attempt at helping us move beyond a small circumscribable concept of the Divine, to something without beginning or without end. Then we can be more open to the discovery of the underlying reality of self and universe.

That said, I understand how questioning the historical and physical reality of our favorite deity can be very uncomfortable and seem to shove a knife into the very heart of what we are....or rather the "me" who we believe ourselves to be. Personally I have found that all that is cherished must be let go, and what remains is an open portal to what is genuine. Easier said, than done.

We are not what we believe ourselves to be.

This movie does expose the debit money problem quite nicely.

However, their godless global socialist solution will not work.

We need to return to an honest, real money system.

Congress needs to return to coining money, regulating the value thereof.  We have long experienced what happens when they abdicate this responsibility to the central bankers: debit, devaluation, and taxation without true representation.

It's never been tried so we can't know for certain. Communism is close to that, but is founded on collective labour input, which is impossible to motivate for prolonged periods of time. On top of that communistic societies have been without exceptions dictatorships, which is never a good thing. I don't think money should be abandoned completely though, but it would be more suited to control priorities rather than being the only motivation.

It is still very unlikely of course. To get it started you'd need a huge corporation knowingly open itself and all its resources to small but motivated community of highly educated people. From there it would then grow. Point being, you have to use the system to change the system, which isn't very easy.

But for starters, giving money an exact unchanging value would be far more sustainable system than the current one.
