What means an electrode is EXTRUDED?

I'm reading in some websites about electrodes... and I have found a website that says:
fine extruded electrode
medium extruded electrode

What means extruded?

It means they are made like when you make hot-dogs or better still, spaghetti. You make a semi-solid mass that is then pushed through an opening and then cut at a certain length.
