When you start talking about slavery and christ... are angels not the servents of god? so if slavery is wrong shouldn't the almighty lead by example? or is he above that? This thread is going to turn into a religous bash with people defending their beliefs, as they should be alowd to, if we are not careful. I have but one request and i think if it is not a rule it should be of the forums (i'm sorry if it seems like i am trying to but in but i'm just putting forwward) Blessing people is fine but using yours or someone elses religion to prove or disprove something is irrelevant. Not everyone believes the same thing, and people are entitled to believe whatever they want. A lot of formus have banned religious comments except for blessing or notations of good luck that refernce a religious figure. But reference deflamations and preaching have been banned... Might be a thought since this is meant to be a scientific forum not a "my god beats your god with my holy wrath level 10 spell".

- If your god is so almighty and so powerful why does your church rely on mandatory donations? And why do the other patrons of your church make you feel bad for not putting any money in the collection plate? just a thought but i won't be posting on religion anymore.

Slavery's gotten a bad rap by the way men treat one another.  "man dominates his fellow man to his own injury".


Anyone who puts others before self is in effect, slaving for, or serving those individuals.  As Christ said, "the foremost among you must be your servant."  I direct contrast to the way man runs the governments of the world.


I for one, am thankful that Stefan sees beyond 'science'.....He himself asks all serious visitors to his site, the question:


"How can we live without the truth?"


Some truths are greater than others.....and it's been my privileged experience that the Greatest truths come from Yahweh, through Yeshua, Jesus Christ.

I agree that often public forums descend into chaos due to unchecked emotion.....However, in an increasingly, (as unfortunate as it is) disposable society such as ours, it becomes easier to simply avoid looking at the verbal meanderings of those with whom we disagree.  As Yahweh is at this time, pouring out His spirit upon all flesh, The questions, "Is this person attempting to communicate with me because he or she truly cares about me?"  And, "Am I attempting to communicate with this person because I truly care about him or her?" Are becoming easier questions with which to logically contend.


"My spirit will not contend with man forever" - Yahweh, Almighty God

Dear God:

I can't remember the last time we spoke...not being a televangelist and all .

The reason for this letter is the bible...I know you are probably tired of hearing about all the ambiguities, editing, and omissions...but there is one big elephannt in the corner of the bible study hall down here - and people are beginning to notice the smell.

In other words...whats with all the animal sodomy going on down here - 'cause according to the bible you said its a big no no ?

That would be same as the Devil jabbing his fork in your butt.

I'm thinking somebody tried to put words in your mouth on this one.

Your earliest attention to the resolution to this quandary is desperately needed...as there's a lot of gay guys down here scooping up all the women on us single guys.

This may call for the sudden appearance of a 'lost chapter' revealing that the last supper took place in a bath house.

I must go back and review the Ten Commandments.

By the way...thanks for the timely divine intervention along the way.
