Ahem...I'm disappointed that thinking people would swallow these theories. Please take the time to read http://www.areco.org/minnis.pdf. The author clearly states that contrails may exist for hours, and there are many variables determining the length of time they remain in the sky.

Not to say I trust my goverment (as far as I can throw them!  )...but if they're secretly poisoning us, this isn't it.

Raptor731, if you do some research you'll find that it is admitted that they are spraying to modify the weather, there are even patents for Titainium dioxide(the main ingredient in sunscreen) sprayers from there its not much of a stretch to "poison" but I doubt you will find direct public proof of that.
