First of all, what the hell are you a professor of?  It is certainly not logic or reasoning.  No one can disprove the existence of god, because as god is defined by the faithful (i.e. gullible), it is not possible to detect him using any of our senses.

So what?  You cannot disprove that the Islamic religion is wrong, or the Hindu, or the ancient Greek and Roman, or the Native American, or the Wicca, or the Norse, the ancient Egyptian or any of the numerous pagan faiths.  Maybe we should start worshiping Apollo or Zeus or Thor again?  What about the Flying Spaghetti Monster - disprove him please.  He touched me with his noodly appendage and now I am forever blessed, Ramen.

Do you believe in the 10 Commandments? They have been around for thousands of years  the basic principle of  our human society and even you must live by it. Kill  someone and you will end up in prison or depending where you live, you loose your life as well  Right?

I am happy that you brought up the 10 commandments.  I do not much like most of them. The one about killing fine and good (assuming killing means murder, because as we all know, many people did lots of killing with God's blessing in the Old Testament.  It was not a good day's work until you sacked a city, killed every man, woman, child and animal.)  But have you read some of the others?  I am serious, have you?  Can you even name them?  Let's look.

You shall have no other gods before me.  Why does this matter?  If he is the only god, then why not just say that.  If there are other gods, why is god being so vain and petty about the whole thing?

Honor your father and mother.  OK, most of the time.  What if your mother beats you for no reason and your father sexually molests you?  Should you still honor them?

You shall not make yourself an idol.  What is so bad about that?  Christians do it all the time, with the cross and statues of Jesus and Mary and various saints.  Do you even follow that one?

Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.  Why?  Why can't we, as a free peoples just work whenever the hell we want to?

You shall not desire your neighbor's wife, house, field, slave, donkey etc.  What, you can't even desire it?  Isn't that thoughtcrime?  WTF is up with that?  Actions should be punished, not stray thoughts.

You shall not commit adultery.  Well, OK, that may lead to bad things, but as an absolute, it is not very good.  It may take years for a bitter divorce to resolve itself.  What is wrong with finding someone and living your life while going through a divorce.

So just wait, @Stefan came around when we asked him to stop the Karma game and it was stopped. Next on the list, limitation of 1 thread per 3 MONTH PERIOD. Otherwise he will have to split this Forum in two, one side for OU that will be highly moderated and other other side for everything else. But obviously, the way it is now is just untenable.

And @nitinnun just explained his dilemma which exposes the problem flagrantly. He started a thread on a valid OU concern and you know what, I never saw it and I am sure many did not see it either. Why, because the Most Recent Posts page moves so fast in one day with all this irrelevant stuff that no one knows who is really coming or going on the OU track. So you better believe it is damn frustrating and I can understand his position which is held by many here.
