An experiment I need to do again and video.

I took an E core transformer removed the outer core, this left only the inner core and the two coil windings, I submerged the transformer in water and froze without any power. After it was frozen I pulsed the primary, just by hand, I probably hadnt bumped it three or four times, it for lack of a better explanation exploded, I dont mean it sent shrapnel everywhere but it shattered the ice inside the container and sounded like a gun going off, scared the daylights out of me.
Ice is a perfect dielectric, and the fields create a path through the ice if powered up while being frozen.
Think about that path, absolutely no resistance, a superconductor.

Iv thought alot about ice in a thunderstorm, they say the ice collides with each other and this causes charge buildup in a cloud but ice is a dielectric and not a charge carrier.

I think the ice crosses the earths magnetic field lines causing the electric field to be deflected creating a charge in the water vapor which is a charge carrier.

When a coil is powered up if forms a field around the coil that runs opposite the applied current.
When the power is off the field collapses into the coil and we get bemf.

But if the coil is submerged in a dielectric, powered up and the dielectric is allowed to solidify the field cuts channels in the dielectric then when the coil is pulsed the field cannot collapse into the coil but follows the channels.............no bemf

If a collection plate is placed in the path of the field it will take the path of least resistance, and we have a pump.
