Hopefully I'll get it built today,
Im just trying to keep the core from heating for now 

The Mazzilli driver will not run it, not sure why but no oscillation, could be its dependent on bemf.
Anyway Im going to use the Mazzilli to drive it indirectly through the bifilar transformer I built earlier, but not till tomorrow, gonna sleep on it study it for awhile

Some of the components i used.

I have seen some transformers like the ones you show in the pic, that have bifi windings in parallel just to reduce the total winding size yet use the same amount of copper for current handling, due to the open spaces between turns is less.

So one of those transformers can be configured as a bifi that is already to go, if what is being said is true about the bifi as a primary.

My transformer shown earlier has a resonant freq that is out of the range I want to deal with. But i pulled out an older transformer I had wound a while back, but it is a trifi, 3 wires, with a step down sec wound close to the core. Now this one I get resonant peaks, and if I add a small cap across the bifi while sending a sig through the 3rd strand, the bifi with cap rings just above 1khz. Will do a short vid to show some things with that. 

Im going by a simple setup using the Xprotolab as a sig gen sweep and spectrum analyzer, where they show how to read a parallel LC.  The spectrum probe across the bifi coil and a 220ohm resistor in line with the sig gen.
