Tesla said that the problem with the free coil is that it needs to be as isolated as possible from the rest of the circuit
or ugly Lenz appears.
The old scientist figured out the shorted avramenko and it works for him.
Another way is to put  a capacitor in series after the free coil and attach another free coil after it.


What Tesla is doing is replicating his earthquake experiment. Here he used a converted electric bell
to pulse a skyscraper and caused an earthquake. BUT... he needed unclad bare metal for the device  to work.
Tesla covers all this in the Colorado Springs notes. I advise you to read them again, as I will also.
This is his electrical analogy.


Remember that Oliver Lodge proved that electricity exists outside the wires, and the wires are simply
a wave guide. So too much voltage and the electricity flies off the rails so to speak.
I call this swing resonance or pendulum resonance.
Another way is roundabout resonance or circular resonance as in the TPU or motor gen systems or a looped circuit.
We have to distinguish between the two or we get confused.

I had never heard of Oliver Lodge thanks for that, am reading up on his work now.

I hadn't seen that particular copy of the Colorado Spring notes. But it's the same thing.
Tesla was using pulsed voltage pressure without current to resonate the free coil.
That's basically it in a nutshell.
In the notes Tesla was looking at several different applications which is why it is confusing.
1 Global internet and how to individualize the reception for privacy.
2 Global free  energy and it's associated technologies.
He used the term "resonant rise" to describe the free energy.
