The output coil produces a changing magnetic field, sinusoidally changing in polarity. This changing magnetic field induces eddy currents in the conductive metal of the workpiece, changing direction as the inducing field changes direction. The eddy currents encounter resistance in the material of the workpiece and hence dissipate power in that resistance. The dissipating power heats the workpiece. The power comes from the input power to the oscillator. As the workpiece is inserted into the coil, the input power goes up accordingly.

Can you channel those currents, to do something else? With appropriate coils, workpieces or cores, and excitation frequencies or pulses, sure. You can make can-crushers, railguns, washer-launchers, wireless power transfer systems, voltage and current transformers, magnetic levitation systems, inductive cooking hobs, etc etc, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination... and your understanding, or lack of it, of the phenomena involved.

I figured it was eddy currents, if the magnetic field holds to a structure then we could assume that the eddy currents held to a structure as well and could be taped.

The battery exercises give us a little better understanding of whats happening, at least in a battery driven circuit.
I dont think we will ever find overunity taking input and output measurements, the very act of looping a system can change the dynamics of the whole system.

How do you interprete the secondary of transformer in this Tesla patent ? What kind of load is pictured ? It seems like an open path ? Hmm...

This is what we are doing now converting voltage to amperage or amperage to voltage powering the load.
And cant figure out why our battery keeps running down.
