I think that Hawkings statement is a tragedy to those who will follow what he claims.

Q  It isnt others convincing that will get you there. Only you can do that. Its you that has to give it a chance.

I have had some revelations that got me there. I cannot call them coincidences. These revelations can turn you on a dime, and you will believe. ;]

A while back. I was reading a story from Cosmo about an alien abduction. I had gotten half way through and stated that it could "possibly" be a compliment to the Bible.
I didnt say that it was, just "possibly".
Bruce had pm me about something else I had said.
I said that my mom didnt like me to read those things as it might lead me away from what the bible says. And Bruce said. "I think your mom was right".

I dont let anything take me away from the bible. Nothing could change that.  It was just a lot of things that made some sense. In the bible it spoke of a chariot of fire, manna, and other things that clicked. So my response was "possibly".  Not definitely. ;]

I believe in the possibility that angels of good and bad, could use flying machines.
Maybe if area 51 aliens do or did exist, maybe they were or are the same as they were describing, and they traveled in chariots of fire. Back then, how else would they describe such things?   

Back when they were choosing which books would be allowed to be compiled into the bible, the original "King James Version", What was in those other books? What is there that we dont know, that may have been true or not?

Now we have New King James versions and others. From what I have read, these new versions have some distortions in wording and even missing or added(mostly missing near 65000 words =o)  And it is written that they will change Gods word and will pay dearly for it.

I have a belief though that for each person, if you are seeking him, you will find him. And whether you read one version or the others, if your intentions are good, you will get the correct message. Even if books are missing, I believe that we have enough to get the message as the Holy Spirit will guide you. You just have to ask for it.

Its funny. Not until you get about half way into the bible does it tell you this. And it hit me like a brick.

When I was younger, I found it hard to read the bible, as I would rather someone explain it for me.

An interesting thing of many that got me, was where there is a list of descendants going backwards, stating their names, age, and their fathers before them. As I read it, it went on and on, and I looked ahead a bit and thought, ok, maybe I can skip this and continue past that, as I didnt see the importance of it. But something said to me, no, read it, dont skip.. And as it had gotten close to the end, it said, and his father was Adam, and his father was God.   That struck me hard. I then was so glad I had not skipped a beat. And I will now not skip anything in that way again when it comes to the bible. ;]

You have to give it a chance.  The apostles would travel to teach Gods word. Some would not accept it, and they would have to move on, as they had no time to waste to find others that would accept the message and believe.

Nobody can convince you of it. We all have something deep inside that tells us he is there.
But there is someone else that tells you things in your head also.  these thoughts may seem like they are your own thoughts, or even from God himself, but they are not.
It is up to us to determine what is right and what is wrong. It is hard to do without the Holy Spirit to guide you. That is something you will have to ask for, and it will be given. Then you will know. ;]

Hey, Mag. Have you seen the link I've posted? Its very first sentence is this: "Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking recently explained his belief that there is no God and that humans should therefore seek to live the most valuable lives they can while on Earth." This is what I have meant. One is unable to hurt God when he (the one) disbelieves his existence, while it is very easy to hurt other people; so, see the above highlighted quote, right again.
