having electrons move from ground/negative to plus makes the diode symbol make more sense; since it is then resembling a check valve that pushes a ball in the V out and allows flow, the other way pushes the ball into the V and stops the flow...

I like the analogy  good one.
In the sim at falstad in the options menu there is electron flow as well as conventional view, I study both.

Just for kicks lets go down this path
Lets say voltage runs outside the wire like the magnetic field from pos to neg, when the inductor is powered up the voltage builds up in the inductor and moves no further, when the inductor turns off the voltage is released and surges on to the negative post.
would this fit the reactions we see in an inductor.
It would except for the fact that the inductor changes polarity when the power is turned off.

So we have to look at electron flow and the A vector field to understand whats happening.

If the polarity of the rebound (bemf) cannot be changed from pos to neg we are in trouble, if this is the case then we need to start looking at electromagnetic and static combinations for free energy.

But the air purifier model does give hope because of the pos and neg ion clouds that form around the electrodes, using this analogy a pos pulsed coil will return a neg rebound.

Electricity has to be bidirectional if it wasnt the the ion cloud would only form around one electrode and would have a deficit on the other.
