Light doesnt travel from sun to earth. Its actually earth that travels to catch sunlight. 
His friend Doctor Debunker has also disappeared. 

Dont test peoples knowledge. Better share yours and let them share theirs.

Personally I believe its about charge separation and keeping the charges separated until they can be harvested.

An ion generator separates charge using two electrodes an ion cloud of opposite polarity accumulates around both electrodes.

Where are these charges coming from............the tension created by the separated charges pulls air molecules apart, combined they are neutral, apart they are energetic. simple.

If the electrodes are brought into a close proximity to each other the ion clouds will merge back together and become neutral again, this is how static eliminators work.

But if kept separate the pos and neg charges can be collected using a magnetic field.

A magnetic field can be ionized this is what happens when a solar flare hits the earths magnetic field.

A simple iron ring without any windings on it can and does keep charges separated.
