@ All

Thanks to Gadgetmall's modifications to the Fuji disposable camera circuits it's now possible to light CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lights) lights for a much longer time than what was previously possible.  Unfortunately because of variances in the Fuji disposable AA or AAA battery circuits and placement of the components there is currently a high failure rate.  There is definitely room for people to come together for a worthy cause here and make these circuits work for everyone.

This has been documented in the JT thread at http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=6123.0;topicseen but would benefit from having it's own thread.

Objective:

To create 3 separate threads on the OU forum in order to accomplish a compendium of the best circuits that can be driven by 1 AA/AAA  battery and light a CFL bulb for a duration of more than a few hours than has been previously possible with instructions on the net.  Using Gadgetmall's modifications to a Fuji disposable camera but on a separate PCB (printed circuit board) or other prototype board using components from discarded or other Fuji disposable AA or AAA battery cameras leading up to laser printed PCBs to make it all possible.

There seems to be much potential in the transformer of the Fuji as it uses a low turn primary compared to 1,000 + turn secondaries that makes it interesting as far as being able to amplify the original pulse from the transistor and be able to excite the CFLs or LEDs.  It's almost like a mini Tesla transformer!

Sure one could say it's just a voltage amplifier circuit but how many have you seen light a CFL or hundreds of LEDs from a single AA or AAA battery for longer than a couple of hours?  What kind of COP can be measured on this unit and how far can it go...etc...it's still in it's infancy as far as a perfect science that everyone can replicate so here goes.

Thread 1:

This thread will be locked and will only contain the circuits that contain components from Fuji disposable AA or AAA battery cameras that can light a CFL bulb for a duration of more than a few hours leading up to the best circuit components and circuits created in
Thread 2.

Thread 2:

This thread will be unlocked and will contain CONSTRUCTIVE information leading up to the circuits that contain components from Fuji disposable AA or AAA battery cameras from people that can light a CFL bulb for the longest duration possible leading up to the best circuit components and circuits.

Thread 3:

This thread will be unlocked and will contain all useless NEGATIVE information moved from Thread 2 that is not deemed to be constructive by the peers of Thread 1 and Thread 2.

@ Stephan

Please give regards to the people that contribute constructively to your site and allow them the privilege of PM's and moderation privilege of Thread 1 and Thread 2 in order to make this a reality!

@ All & Stephan

Sorry for creating 3 threads for this but it's the only way it can succeed.

Regards,
Paul

@ All

OK so I haven't figured out how to lock this thread yet but be warned that anyone posting NEGATIVE or misleading information will eventually be moved to thread 3  :P ....LOL

Regards to all,
Paul

@ Goat:

You have to have moderator privileges (Limited ones) to lock a topic.

Thanks, I guess I'm not the one to moderate this thread but hopefully Stephan will see the need to make it happen, otherwise it'll end up as a messed up thread, I don't care to be moderator but would like to see Thread 1 as the definitive circuit thread while Thread 2 being a constructive thread to Thread 1 while Thread 3 being reserved for constructive criticism or just downright garbage towards Thread 1.

That was my intent in seeing any thread in this forum being viable, it seems too many get polluted along the way with worthless chatter.

Paul

Excellent idea. Those with contributions in Thread 3 could even be given Yellow Cards.
