The whole point is that steel building can collapse without thermite or explosives, but merely due to fire.  I do not follow you.

those links you posted were hilarious. anyone look at the pictures of the buildings? the 'ground zero' in those pics look nothing like the WTC ground zero, neither do the buildings after 'collapse'. in fact they all look much more like a building that was hit by an earthquake.
but hey, thanks for finding those pictures that show such a sharp contrast to the WTC...

Yes, but I am only human and have my failings.

So, are you sticking by your word and reassessing your view in light of evidence of other steel buildings being destroyed by fire?
indeed you do...

sure i reassessed, in light of the 'evidence' you presented. see the above comment. your evidence does nothing to promote your opinion, in fact, it degrades it.

I guess we should have said "skyscraper" (which are built to entirely different standards). Apparently the largest in that list was "13 stories".

You dismiss the other fires with this "different standards" bit, but you do not elaborate.  How exactly are these standards different, and how would those standards lead to a different result?

Sure, skyscrapers are built to hold many floors, but this is also an added risk.  A beam can be forced to support quite a bit more weight than in a shorter building.

And keep in mind, fire is a chaotic thing, and buildings, even steel skyscrapers, can be built differently.  In WTC 7, the fire weakened a key piece in a certain way that did not occur in the Chinese example.

My point is, you guys asked for evidence of steel structures being destroyed by fire, and I gave it to you.  The buildings I presented were serious buildings, not metal shacks.  They were not skyscrapers, but that does not mean that a skyscraper could not suffer the same fate.  Now you are dancing around trying to say, well, that was not a 47 footer.  Yea, and it wasn't in New York on a sunny day in September either, but so what?  Steel can fail under fire, that's the point.
