But by the way how do you think politicians feel when an event like in Greece occurs. People were forced to go and vote (or else...) and 90% ignored the considerable fine and just "missed" the vote.

I think the problem is the people thinking a vote is important. How about no vote? It hurts them most.

An "Yes" is a victory, a "No" is "ok, we'll try later". But a no vote means "I don't care about you and I know you need my approval and yet I don't want to vote because I don't want to hear about your agenda".
