This document looks interesting considering the length of the ground cables at TK. His ground is not a ground at HF. After reading you will understand this little idea: look the rate of the length of the cable in coil to the length of the ground cable. The coil is not a coil, just a cable, like virtual ground. The bifilar winding reduce its inductivity. Calculating the lengths can help to find the frequency. Remember, TK started with two grounds.

Thanks for posting the PDF. You may have something there.. I think TK is familiar with ground/ground loop concept, because there are lots of ham radio operators in the former Soviet Union.
