It is very likely, that the choice of their cooling options and package types was determined by their "junk box availability".

On the other hand a thyristor of the kind used by Stepanov is not the type that is normally available in the junk box of a tinkerer. Means since Stepanov obviously had to obtain his thyristors for switching it is not far-fetched that Kapanadze also had to obtain his triacs for the same technical reason, although it is more likely that such triacs can be found in a junk box.

According to your posts in the other thread, you have already made some progress. Can you provide full details of your build, test and measurement setup and results, so that others may experiment along the same lines?

Meanwhile , with a cup of good coffee think  about those questions :

can you imagine resonant circuit with no reactive power ?
can you question or/and proof whenever field is weak or simply balanced ?
can you see that Newton third law is the most basic and apply everywhere ?
can you understand that even the most extraordinary quantum effect can be shown with simple device  (world is proportional and if there is a complex device with simple principle there should be a simple device with complex principle behind) ?
can you see a process of unidirectional energy transfer which do not break Newton III  law?
can you explain why Earth rotate ?
