Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Grum how did you do L4? Same tube lenght as L2L3? How much resistance you did in L4 coil?
Thanks

Yes this is the most likely cause. See here.
Another possibility is that this load gets reflected back to the Royer oscillator and changes its frequency or inhibits it altogether.

Dear Verpies and all.

Many thanks for your earlier post. What I was trying to say is that you just can't "Cobble together" some coils and caps and hope your device will work!!

Earlier on I took the whole device appart and have taken detailed measurements. Purely for the record, and also in the hope that you, Dear Verpies, may see a fundamental error in my work?

C = 0.508 microfarad.
L1 = 0.000 ohms. 0.58micro H.
L2 (inner 80 turn) 0.102 ohm 66.4 micro H core out. 63.9 micro H core in.
L3 (outer 80 turn) 0.115 ohm 79.9 micro H core out. 77.5 micro H core in.
L4 250 turn. 22 SWG on 1.5" PVC tube 1.06 ohm. 0,354 milli H.
T1 Pri = 2.57 H. 14.7 ohm.

Core = 2" dia 1.5mm thick Aluminium tube with 3mm wide longtidtudinal slot.

Now for some reason I cannot attach the schematic. This is the second run of typing!!! But hopefully attached is my not as "pretty" as Hoppy's test rig. :)

Cheers to all, Grum.

Addendum.  For schematic to above please refer to post Reply #17297

Evening Grum,

What is the voitage running the Royer oscillator. I take it from the meter reading in you photo that the current is 3.15A?

Good evening Hoppy.

About 12 Volts give or take... The battery has not been charged for a while. Scope trace is 20V/cm with X 10 probe 300 V p/p. Frequency as seen on counter. Ground 1, Green wire at right of Geiger Muller counter. Ground 2,  scope earth on T1 primary. Bulb 240 V @ 40W. I know it's not OU but it is a good rig for tuning. But be carefull, I caught a really nasty RF burn from one of the cap cases last night!!

Cheers Grum.

PS. Yes it is pulling 3.15 Amps.

Grum,

Regarding this schematic, what is your peak voltage across C3 and what is the discharge duration of your spark-gap as well as its PRF?
Also, did you eliminate all the groundloops and use a starpoint layout?
