@a.king 21, Hi thanks for link, at least if starting with the right basics we might get somewhere, I keep going off at strange tangents with Tesla coils get lots of sparks and damaged equipment. I will now concentrate on transformer as per Kapanadze bedroom vid and forget the really high voltage stuff, remembering that when the spark died the bulbs were still alight. Also the transformer resonator is more likely to be the 'secret' hidden from view in a box with the rest for show.

Is that so? A wire of a coil (maybe one thick winding only) is also conductive but nevertheless there can be opposite charges on its ends (when the wire is next to an oscillating magnetic field) and we surely can make use of these opposite charges (the potential difference between the two ends).

The counterpart to an oscillating magnetic field would be an oscillating electric field. So what if we let the Earth's electric field artificially oscillate by closing and opening a Faraday cage?

Actually this is the purpose of that exercise, namely to convert an intangible electric field into a tangible electric charge.

I will ask it the other way around: If we take a part of the Earth's electric field then what would be the best way to convert the energy of that field into an electric potential difference so that we then can connect an electric load to it?
