Looks like an Adjustable square wave generator using 555 timer to adjust the frequency of the transistors. PWM to keep resonance when the load changes or to just find resonance with input current and the time of the on and off's of transistors.  Is that big red box a Relay?

Anyways heres a close up and the other picture is what circuit you need to create more out than in.

Hello All,I got some three terminals caps from scrap.I fond a strange thing with them, which i want to share with you.I charged the cap(24-VDC and remove the power supply) via A and B terminals.Then i check with my Fluke17B voltmeter, voltage across;A,B= 24VDC. B,C=2VDCA,C = 18VDC which stay at 18VDC although i short them and check again it stay again at 18VDC, but found that no current while discharging  AC.I hope somebody better explain this cap behavior.Thanks and regards,D.J
