Hello my friend.Just a quick question. Would you be able to recommend me a personal dosimeter.
There is some choice on the ebay and I have a problem to choose the right one.
As I do experiments with high voltage I think it could be a good Idea to have some small device at home watching my back.  
I want to ask you- what should my dosimeter measure- Beta, Gama , X-ray, Alpha?

Dosimeter is the device that is actually " galvanometer" There is a little bit of confusion in this field.

So what  is that you need?
The answer is  what is:
1-that you are interested with.
2- that what fits your budget
3- that what can give you some information or most of information about possible danger you might be  exposed to.

Major determination-
Once you find that there is radiation,  than now you have choice to stop experimenting, or to find what is the nature
of  radiation and approach it from that perspective.
It is like  you dressing for the  weather you might be exposed to - e.g Jacket, coat, T-shirt, and so on.
Your curiosity will than push you for more spending.
So why you need to spend twice?

The Lynx offered on Ebay is old version software browser from  year 2002.( do not confuse it with software  for computer e.g Gene that might be needed too.) and there is a need   to contact Canberra with Good English and some  knowledge.
You need also to present yourself as business entity that might not be exactly in field of nuclear science
but that the nuclear science in field of radiation is your additional area of expertize you need to  enhance your scientific investigation with.
That gives you some room for not being professional.
If you are able to  do so than they might  do  upload of the software for you for free and on line.
The other way is just to send the device  to them and they  will upgrade the device for you.
They might charge you  few dollars  for it.  E.G - just  regular check up is about $260
But I do not believe it would be more than  $700 all together.
In this field there is no room for idiots.

Canberra must see another entity that is possibly willing to spend more money with them in the  future.

New information about this interesting device is always welcomed.

BTW IMO at 7m 50s of this video the annotation should be "Now we mark input current' because he says: "потребляемый ток".
Also, at 9m 21s I also think the annotation should be "input current did not change" instead of "current on secondary winding did not change" because he says "ток потребляемый не изменился"

Last but not least, the STAAR Yoke Device had 4½ windings (see the schematic below: W1, W2, W3, W4a, W4b).
How many windings were present on the yoke in Tiger's experiment, depicted in part 2 of this video?  ...which ones were they?
