Now let's coil these wires in to coil. from each side.
instead of  straight piece of wire  from each side.
The antenna would be much smaller in size and it would work  very well
but its efficiency will suffer.( we may need to make wire at each of arms  little longer or shorter 
to compensate mostly capacitive reactance between the winds. )

So wen we  looking at the two coils presented by  the poster  from above, you could look at it as two arms of dipole coiled from each side.
