If you use a heater make sure no motor inside for Swivel or fan blower just normal convection bar heater. I think if you have Infra Red thermometer you can take temp reading of heater using normal mains after 60 second versus KAPAGEN powered and compare readings.

I think for most people in winter having a 2kw bar heater and 2kw hot water is MUCH more useful then lightbulbs even though of course its a visual test."

Regarding Kapagen only thing i seen change is the o/p volts is now 4kv and not 2kv as MOT is wired as intended  to use thru diode and oven capacitor as voltage doubler.

As Don Smith says volts = joules potential so higher voltage = more efficient operation.

If you try DC to spark gap now you need 0.1uf cap rated at 8kv+ to handle the peaks of 4kv RMS thru spark gap.

trying with heater is my attend, but ,my opinion is, that using lightbulbs for testing is better due
- i can instantly see how much light they produce
- i can try various combination of them (series, parallel, ...)

once we get the best results with bulbs, then it is time for water heaters . ..

one more reason that i don't use heater jet is that, I'm allready heated enough due rewinding coil, digging holes, ....

It seems like your circuit also shows the diode hooked considering positive current. I assume you flipped this around as well?

I'm in the process of a replication as well and was just about to post a question relating to the diode before seeing JLN's circuit diagram!  Up till this, everyone seemed to be using half-wave rectification only (so no voltage-doubling) & not the voltage-doubling configuration (actually pulsed-DC) that is used in all MO's - I just wondered why this was as the MO's (and JLN's) is much more efficient!

The other thing that has me a bit confused is romeouk's circuit where there's no diode & the cap goes straight to ground - shouldn't it pop?

i was tried numerous variation ( with and without diode and cap)of the romerouk s and others schemes and not even once got amp draw below ~5 amp - its also true, i never tried rotate direction of diode 
so tomorrow is a new day and who now what will come up, just hopping for sharing results and conclusions

Here are the diagrams that I am using currently. Don't ask me about the MOT2 output as i am not going to talk about yet.

Not what I expected you meant, I assumed you meant in place of or in series with the bulbs or other loads.

If there is any FE picked up by the coil it might bypass this MOT if the freq is high enough and go through the cap.

Of course FE circuits don't function as we expect so...
