I would say that 'virtual photons' sound a whole lot like 'luminiferous aether'. Funny thing...it seems that the whole justification for quantum mechanics is to deal with the obvious truth of the aether. Since Newtonian mechanics can't work at the quantum level unless there is a power source...and we've ruled out the power source by eliminating the aether...let's create a whole new line of study that masks the truth that was known 130 years ago, by creating virtual particles...

...But don't get me started. The most likely explanation for huge reservoirs of fossil fuels buried under immense layers of sedimentary rock is a massive flood event that killed off billions of animals and deposited them in huge mass graves and then buried them in mud. Ironically though, the same science that talks about planet wide floods on Mars...which currently doesn't have much water at all...completely rules it out on Earth, where 75% of the planet is currently covered in water...and...virtually every ancient religion has a flood mythology of one sort or another. Gee lemme think...why, oh why don't we have universal free energy?

As for his proposal, I don't really have a specific opinion. He sounds very intelligent and it all sounds well thought out. I would simply wonder why if he truly had a strong conviction about the viability, why no experiments?

Regarding the 'Rant Mode' I must say I enjoyed it and I believe sums up many members feelings here. Please rant anytime you wish.

   As far as the author of the article from what I have read he is a very spiritual man, not in a religious way, but 'in tune' with nature. From my view both of his devices appear on the outside to explain Tariel and SR. I guess time and study will tell. Regardless there is much information on both devices that warrant a new thread to be started.
   
   I am very interested in the 'Virtual photon power converter' this of course can be called 'Aether power converter' or simply 'Tesla fuel less generator'.

   As for your point regarding why no prototype has been made? Here is a quote from the site.

        When high voltages are applied, this device will have some kind of effect as perceived from the outside.  What that effect is may be subject to question without a prototype.
          "Knock yourself out."  I do not have anywhere near the resources (intellectual, physical. or fiscal) to begin such a project.

          Included with this page is a copy of the aborted patent application for this device.  I screwed up on getting the claims right and this is a copy of the last try at the transducer.
          A device cannot be patented a year after it has been published.  Because of this web site and a patent application is considered 'being published', this device is free and up for grabs.  As it is now, it can't be patented.  There is a potential for a whole new frontier here.

Well let me tell you I plan on 'Knocking my self out'. The good new is that there is already a theory of operation and a preliminary wiring diagram. What more can you ask for?

All of nature screams 'Creator'. I don't think I have seen a single person that has studied this subject in any depth that doesn't arrive back at some form of 'God' or spirituality. The specific nature of 'who' or 'what' that 'He' or 'it' is, is as varied as the people involved. I happen to be Christian, which informs my perspectives and perceptions accordingly.  I will balance that, however, with what I consider to be Christianity's major 'elephant in the living room'...and that is that we really do not know the true nature of God. While I perceive Him as father and creator, I'm reasonably sure He isn't an old white guy in flowing white robes sitting on a golden throne controlling the world with the celestial equivalent of an XBox/360. So if not that...then what?

Of course that was the problem with the aether to begin with, wasn't it? In most scientists mind, the aether and the immense power it represents pointed in very clear terms to a creative force of some kind. Einstein seemed to do the world a great favor by allowing them a face saving way out of that awkward aether with its implied creative force, and the world flocked to him. Of course doing so ran us down a path that set science back a century or so, but I guess that is the price of foolishness, huh?

So, build it! It seems well thought out. Maybe you should make some effort to contact the author first to see what the status currently is and whether he knows of anyone else having tried it.
