So say this is SM secret, and he could get the standing wave to be stationary, then you could just tap the output coil where that node resides and get dc from that point of place on the coil?  And his control circuit could be just a circuit that has taps to the left and right
of the output tap to sense where the standing wave may be drifting and make the necessary adjustments automatically.  Just from what I know of it. ;]

You gentlemen can go down the standing wave road if you want.  You can take a turn down traveling wave road after that.  Standing waves create a stationary field.  It is easier to create one with DC.

For anyone interested: pulse a long coil of wire with hv dc at a slow rate and look for a charging effect like Tesla found.  You can bet your ass that TK started with this.

Tesla's lectures, articles, and Colorado Springs Notes are great references.  However, determining what Tesla was actually doing is very difficult.  I don't know what Gerry Vasillitos (spelling?) got his information, but it is fairly correct.  The references to effects reported by other researchers are true.  Many will tell yo that you can not use an ordinary transformer and that resonance is required, but both are incorrect.  Tesla shows an ordinary transformer schematic on page 79 of the Notes.

If you apply a high voltage impulse, a spike, to a large coil of wire, at a slow rate in the kHz range, say 5 or 20, you will find the effect with a little tuning. 

(There are people participating in this thread that know this is true.)

It will not work if the rate is too fast and it will not work if the pulse reverses or is too slow.  Heed all of the warnings about damage to electronics and your body.

This biggest problem is that people talk about Tesla, they talk about coils, and they talk about free energy.  Very few actually go looking for it.

Is he saying that the Extra coil acts as an extension of the secondary to raise the voltage, without affecting the primaries load?
