Mine works fine and has been working fine.  I suggest using firefox as this forum software is optimized for it.  Then run no-script and ad block add-ons and you should never have any problems.  I swapped over 3 years ago and have not had a problem since.

For well over a year now my email notifications stop for no apparent reason...I always have to disable notification, and then enable it again to start it up again.

It happened just before or after Bill made the joule thief comparison, which had occurred to me also...and which was immediately dismissed and buried by another theory.

To me, that indicated the joule thief connection should be looked at more thouroughly.

Hello all,
This is my first post, and i've only been researching OU for about 3 weeks now.  I'm a joiner by trade in the north of Wales and bought some plans for a free energy device, thus started my research.  I've read through some of this thread with great interest, learning about circuits components and coils so please forgive me if i don't understand all that i should to contribute.

From what i understand, which is very little, this device is trying to draw energy from some source, lets say x.  The coils seem to be key to me because if we look at lightning which is positive, i think travels to earth, negative.  So if one coil is wound in such a way that it it is negative with a frequency that excites x positive it will be attracted to the other coil which can be harvested.

To me it reminds me of a guitar when you strike one note another string will be excited and begin to vibrate as long as it is in the same key or frequency but can be a different octave (spelling)

I want to build one of these devices, however i do not have the necessary gear to harmonize the coils.  The ones i've seen on line seem to start out with 85 turns clockwise with 14 gauge wire then a second coil, is wound over this counter clock wise with 24 turns.  A third coil is then wound over the first coil counter clock wise but the gauge of this wire is like welding cable or 6.5 mm copper tubing. 

I've been looking at the circuit diagrams trying to understand what exactly is needed but I lack the technical know how to decipher the right components to use.

Any guidance in these matters such as pointing me to the particular post or link would be appreciated so i can assemble the parts and give this a go. 

Also i'm curious if anyone has tried Rodin coils? 

I also want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread, it is very exciting to read and has helped me quite a bit in the learning process.
