Forgive my ignorance but don't electrons always move at the speed of light?  Is so, how can they be accelerated to any speed beyond that?  I thought that was nature's speed limit.  Now, I know about the particle accelerators they have built and are building but I think that is something different.

I do not know enough about quantum mechanics to argue anything with anyone...I am just wondering if what I was taught is correct or not, and if not why?

We want to know what was/is in the green box.  What about the video with the unit in the Plexiglas case, which appeared to be a more marketable version of this device.  Would the components from the green box not be in that clear plastic case as well?  Or was there another "Green box" off camera somewhere with the vital components in it?  I will have to view that video again to refresh my memory.

No  electrons dont move at the speed of light. But the wave of any potential difference does, from one end of a wire to the other.  Someone here said that the electrons may only move inches per second. But what we see at the other end of the wire is just about instantaneous. Light speed.  Kinda like pushing water through a pipe, the other end will feel the pressure virtually instantaneously.
Edit   But the water doesnt necessarily move per inch at great speed.

I have a bit of issue with what Herger told me as to discharging into a large coil, vs what Tesla said, to discharge into a low turn stout coil. Herg may be correct and I had not seen his explanation in Tesla writings.   I had not tried hergers idea yet, discharging into a large coil, though it may be a way. Will have at it this week end.
Teslas theory was if you load a small cap to high voltage, and discharge it into a short stout coil, that the power invested at that instant is megawatts. And he used that to excite the larger coils.

Herger may be correct in bypassing the discharge into a short coil, and just discharging  a high voltage into a larger coil.  Like Teslas power transmission and receiving,  if we have just the receiver, the yes, hv discharge into a high no. turn primary of a step down transformer.

That is the way I would have initially seen the Kap device, as the few turn stout coil as the primary. But who knows yet.  =]

What if the coil and all its accoutrements were to represent the earth...and what if in the green box, imersed in oil was a stubblefield coil ?

And both coils when provided an initial charge would bounce that charge back and forth , amplified by a spark gap...with the secondary of the Stubblefield coil driving the load ?

What if it was as simple as that ?

Just throwing that out there...sometimes a little outside the green box thinking (so to speak) helps the creative juices flow.

What if it were as simple as rectifying and storing the discharge of a Tesla coil and feeding it to the primary discharge circuit. The voltage of the sec. is high enough to breach the primary spark gap. And breaching that gap is all that is needed to fire the primary.

Electrons move down a wire at less than 1 meter per minute. Voltage moves at the speed of light. PhysicsProfessor took his ball and went home when I asked him to explain what caused the speed gain of voltage and where did that energy come from.

Rather than come to terms with the fact that he knew so little about electricity and learn something, he went to ostrich heaven where the sand is super deep. Someone programmed the word field in his brain as a child and his thought never went beyond that. That isn't thinking, that is programming.
