This is the trick of the child at his teenage life period from Russia, Poland and rest of  former Eastern  block.
That is why I stated that education of Eastern Europe countries is

The other was.. getting brains from around the world without investing one single penny.Simply by signing piece of paper allowing BRAINS to be in USA.

Even level of education i England was considered higher  than in USA by many... why?.......... England,France the historically present  centers of all culture ,science and intelligence.

Summary: Typical child from former "Eastern Europe" had class from almost every science, even at his BA and  even sometimes MBA . Child that comes to USA says typically that the classes and credits required  was required 2 sometime 3 years ago and they are surprised that now at  age of 19 they are required to  pass these credits.

@Stivep .Your analysis of the difference in education systems between east and west is absolutely correct . And that difference has increased over the years . when I was a boy in the 1950s just about anyone could fix a bicycle.  By the 1980s as the UK became more prosperous , people were throwing away bicycles simply because the tyres were flat and the chain needed oiling . Bicycles have stopped being tools and have become toys .The quality has fallen dramatically , but no one complains because they seldom ride anyway .The worst bit is that it is now illegal to take things from the rubbish tip ,so there is no more junk to experiment with .
