That would be "sillycone" wire Ramset.

Note how that coil is wrapped on a foil and how that magnetically shorts out the coil? Note how SR traced out a coil/tube/foil on his wires from the center tap to one end? That is the CE end of the coil.

I can show you where the mother of all free energy patents does the same thing and I am not the only person that noticed. Go up a few posts at energetic and read Boguslaw's comment. Then look at the patent drawing at the bottom. Ta da!

It's an old trick used over and over and has been demonstrated already in this thread by another member.

While your posts are interesting, I think the glass is just being used as an insulator between the primary and secondary.

The most interesting thing in that photo for me is the bar that goes from one end of the coil to the other that the spark hits. A shunt or a stack of doorknob capacitors in a tube to produce CE?
