I think I remember either him saying of in his pdf that circuit perfomance could be "improved" even further by utilizing earth ground.

I didn't look closely at the descriptive text in the .PDF, so I can't say for sure.  I can look at it later when I have more time.

But if the output is what Don states it is who needs earth ground anymore... portable device has way more advantages over "grounded" one.

Right, yes.  The radio and TV are inherently ungrounded by design.  That way average internal voltage rises on a floating ground, to increase efficiency, right?

Definitely 4&5  Sounds easy enough to replicate from looking at it...any takers?  I'm unable to build and test it right now but maybe later, especially if someone builds it and it works!

Dole's video link of the DYI version in the end of vid4 and vid 5 has 2 grounds, 1 in the spark gap and the other on the varactor.  What do you make of this?

Do you think we should open a separate thread for the DYI circuit in the end of vid4 and vid 5 and/or add it to this thread as an easy circuit to replicate?
