Please don't think no response means no interest. It's just that not many here can actually comment on something that is this new. Also, please realize that up till now the WNYg has only used their flyback for the shown effects even though I had tried to explain the importance for them to try with other flyback models. There is surely something there that makes this more then just supplying a known HV level. Also, maybe your HV level is not high enough. If I remember it was going from 0 - 9kv. Maybe you need higher level.

If you have a local TV repair place, do like me. Yesterday I stopped at a TV repair place and asked them if they had a box of used flybacks. The guy took me to the back and they had a big box full. I managed to find two identical, plus one identical to the one I had dissected but broke the ferrite so now I have the identical, plus another much bigger flyback. All for 10 bucks. lol Plus the guy was happy to see someone come in and ask for this because they have been collecting them for years.

About your list of procedures, again, it did not go unnoticed but again not many can comment on that. All the yoke procedure seems illogical to me anyways. Find a frequency, then use it on another coil but the resonance winds up being way out of that range, so what is the point of finding the first frequency, etc. Seems like alot of doodling for nothing. Sorry to say.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.  When my dad passed away I was so sad that I decided to write a little bit of music but this time using only my computer program (Power Chords) which is a guitar based program. Anyways, it's just a musical interlude that loops as life does. You can listen to it here if you feel like it. The sound is very electronic but what can you expect from such programs.

@Jimboot: Did you get a faint glow of the filament in your bulb?

It IS also about the transistor attributes concerning the switching behaviour. (Unqualified objections from certain people aside)
What Delamorto achieves is a pretty high switching frequency.
The 3055 has a transition frequency of 3 MHz, i believe that Delamorto establishes a much higher
resonance due to his KT transistor having an ftrans of about 20 MHz. The people that experimented with Slayer's Exciter also found that different transistors
performed differently in regards to Streamers and have settled with MPSAs and 2222s.

To talk in numbers my secondary has 91 Ohms (~0.15mm wire dia). This might be not enough turns.
I think 150 Ohms is what most Kachers are having. I do not get the end of the primary to emit streamers
without touching it with a screwdriver. Driven with 24 Volt.
The red primary in Delamorto's Kacher seems to be 2.5 turns from what can be seen in the videos.

Something that i left unregarded until now is what coil former material did he use? It's white,maybe plastic?
It could have a different dielectric property and it is quite thick, since there might be a capacitive effect present here. I just used a thinner edged PVC pipe.

Well, I did not invent the tuning procedure, I just cleaned it up and want to clear it up all the way.

At first, it was illogical to me too but then it stopped being so, once I started suspecting that its main purpose is to create two waveforms 90deg. out of phase in the 1-turn and 50-turn windings.
When these two windings are fed from one common source (the HF Signal Generator directly to 50t and by stray mutual inductance to the 1t winding) then the current in them can be 90deg. out of phase only when both windings are not at resonance!
In fact one winding has to be more capacitive and the other must be more inductive in order to accomplish this, and this is exactly the relationship between the 50t and 1t windings.
Furthermore, the avoidance of the "ringing waveforms" in the tuning procedure seems to support this proposition, because the ringing frequency is the resonance frequency.

No it is not. It should be the frequency of the spring you create in the ferrite material via the interference pattern of the two waves although they are bound loosely to each other. This looseness can be modulated and directed by the Iron or soft steel. Iron/soft steel probably being the best choice. If we go back to the example I gave of an intensified external field of magnets we can see that mere voltage can show the underlying patterns. What I saw was very much like a spring around the magnets. When you play them against each other it causes them to vibrate, accelerate and form interference patterns both in length and breadth of that spring. By hooking wires(coils) around it it acts like a fluid pump in the case of the yoke. One end of the coil is lower voltage then the other. This causes a squeezing of the internal network increasing it's permeability and speed or force. It also draws in more lines from the surrounding network in this process.

He just reported the effect he wants replicators not endless school taught questions. Listen we were only taught half of what we could see. The other half got thrown away because at that time it seemed useless. Just like static electricity and high voltage.

I agree that they should be moved out of this thread. But the mods need to be the ones who started the additional methods.
