Use ONLY air coils. NEVER put anything inside and this will just dampen the ambient electron energy. You need to get HT supply into RF domain. > 50Khz better 1 meg or higher.

No more time for speculation and arguing about this if you do it right you get extreme OU. The finer details to be worked out on the bench for precise coil dimensions but if you stick to the tesla /don smith teachings you can light up 1 or 50 light bulbs with really simple systems.

The center primary on a Tesla coil has been used it seems a long time ago. Maybe the respetable Don Smith learnt from "The boy electrician book"

I composed it from a pdf file I had and cant find now. named The boy electrician.pdf.

the toroid pic is not related to this thread at all, it´s just an exotic transformer. (Thane Heins Bitoroid Transformer (BTT)), the idea is that the load induced back EMF does not all find it´s way back to the central primary coil because it would rather go around the fat outer core to the other secondary. when my 2nd hand ebay sig genny arrives from stateside I will put it through its paces.

You can build BTT with normal transformer steel too, but metglass has way higher permeability, good trafo steel can get up to several thousand permeability, metglass is 1 million and so makes a great magnetic core material and It allows for the transformer to work up to MUCH higher frequencies with minimal heating.

Anyway, back to this thread... it is all aircore I agree. Looking at the pics, Smiths device has no capacitive plate power take off like the Russian vid where he lights a bulb between a metal plate and gnd.

Smith has many different devices including also plates in his dipole setup.
But Bolt expressed it before, Smith probably runs at a higher frequency than Kapanadze in his old video who also does not use a very high voltage circuit after his 1st HV transformer (so 2-3 kV max) and that´s where the higher power comes from.
However there is also two earth ground points in some of Don Smiths devices probably just for pulling LF electrons for the inverter transformer tap in the final output stage, but the RF electrons enter the system via the air through the bloch wall once the resonance frequency is in the HF/VHF range thus charging the caps to a much higher potential charge.

Before i experiment with the very high voltage part (and relieve myself of a couple of hundred euros for the caps,diodes and tools), i will test if the Kapanadze route yields anything.
