What happened yesterday was something different.
I need to do a much bigger study now. (this is very exciting for me)
I believe, today, that the NS (Nathan Stubblefield) coil is a receiver.
I am not prepared to say much more. I have many ideas etc, but I don't want to speculate because there is much to find out.

Can't be scared jenna every great researcher has stuck there foot in there mouth at one time or another doesn't take away from there greatness at all theory theory theory order in the court!

I composed this circuit thinking that according to the pinout the first three pins are connected if you use a DMM and measure beteen them.

I thought that it could be composed as a joule thief coil and it did not work.

I post it just in case someone more knowledgeable can see where the error is.

disconnect the resistor/LED from the base of the transistor,
and try winding 5 turns (more or less) around the exposed ferrite core of the flyback as shown in my diagram .

depending on the flyback design, that should give enough feedback to start it oscillating .
