I can afford to disagree with you, but I respect your point of view.

   I suppose there is a misinterpretation of what I wrote. There is not necessary to pre-exist a reservoir of energy of a certain type, no matter of what kind of energy we talking about, because everything around us, even we ourselves are energy. Important is to find a way to convert them to a useful kind of energy, in our case electrical energy.

   On the other way, everything is energy, or what we call energy in its infinite manifestations. Energy is only one word, fairly limited in the current acceptance of what energy means. You, me, earth, galaxies, the whole universe seen and unseen are energies in various states of aggregation, and various forms of manifestation.

   As I said earlier, because there are no isolated systems, everything being interconnected, there is a permanent exchange of energy between  horizontally plans of manifestation of energies, and in the vertical plane of its various forms of aggregation. In plus, if we consider the fact that there are no static systems, but everything is dynamic ... all becomes  much more complicated.

   To understand this kind of devices (so called OU), it should be considered in a broader context than the physics taught in schools.

That is my opinion and my way.

Can't agree more. What you said applies to the entire field of OU, not only to the Tesla claims. It appears, some people want it that way, muddled and inconclusive, dragging it for decades to appear there is something to it. This gives them probably a sense of structure they govern and provides means to attract investors, if not a feeling of self-importance. Reminds me of the Tokamak or the CERN supercollider. Tokamak has a longer history and the whole purpose of it appears to be is to have it postponed every sixty years while enjoying the benefits of a superstructure -- salaries are paid, careers are built around it surrounded by academic air. Curiously, it may be that the problem is easily solvable but the participants just don't want it. Think about what equipment lies around. Is there anybody who thinks that with such equipment available there wouldn't already be a definitive solution to most of the OU claims? Problem is, the equipment is at places where one cannot touch with a ten foot pole OU or he'll find himself in the street. On the other hand, the option to talk private investors into funding an OU project prevents it from real scientific scrutiny. Sticky wicked.
