Stefan has suggested a crude diy clamp meter to keep the scope or dso away from the high voltage line by using a ferrite toroid windings. This will not give you an absolute current reading but it will give you a good insight of the current behavior and frequency. Like he said without empirical data we are just touching in the dark.

Especially the second one from page 50 on is very interesting,
as it lectures on the production of ONE WIRE systems
and also the hairpin circuits.

By the way, I watched yeasterday the youtube video series ( 10 movies) about the
Tesla Hairpin device and it is fascinating to see,
that you can light up bulbs under water and don´t get shocked,

the bulbs, but I wonder, if it is not just high frequency RF currents
and standing waves ?

I think researching this and finding the exact differences to normal
RF currents and how to produce these strange currents is
vital also to the understanding of the Kapanadze and the Naudin Kapagen
circuits and replications.

I hope we can achive this here.

many thanks for the drawing,
but just a normal 10 turn pickup coil without toroid and not wound around the line wire will
already show the waveforms picked up via magnetic induction.

Just bring it closer to the circuit until you see the waveforms on your scope,
but not to close, so will not kill your scope.
