You are right. IMHO all "hot" threads need some modifications: they should be locked and moderator should grant access only for those posts which bring some useful information. All other "casual" text should be posted in a different "companion" thread.

Perhaps this can be arranged. One main thread for all the milestones and important information related to the project and one thread for discussion. This way we can have a condensed view of the progress without getting lost in mega threads. Especially for new comers wanting to join in will make it much easier to know what's going on without having to spend a week reading such mega threads.

The copper sheet over the ferrites is behaving as one turn transformer. The nail that goes through the core is a second collector "one turn coil". In order to operate with some efficiency the frequency must be high enough. 40 Khz in that video. (The higher the better)

It is about wounding a ferrite stacked tubing with turns of wire that go in parallel with ferrite tube. (not perpendicular as usual). then a metal rod when inserted can light fully a bulb (depends wattage inputed) by simply applying bulb leads at rod's ends. If shorted by an extrenal wire, the rod gets heated.

IMO it is a just bizzare and funny design, but in essence is a standard high frequency transformer. Nothing extraordinary about it. Neither OU. This has been extensively discussed in russian forums.

Yes, technicaly a 9volt battery cannot operate that kacher at those power levels. If that would be the sole power source, no doubt the system would be OU. BUT, despite persistent requests by many russians (and me) the "inventor" would not reply to specifics.
Few have said to me that a hidden wire is underneath the table and i find it quite reasonable to believe, since all Kachers behave similarly.

Regarding all the questions you repeat, i wount even bother at answering them again. Just educate yourself, via experimenting and reading is best, and then you will know the answers.

Cunning  of Zacaricin:

Material:

5x ferrite rings
1x plastic tube (from pencil etc)
1x thin copper sheet
2x plastic rings
electrical tape
copper wire

Construction:

- make cylinder with gap from copper sheet
- solder two wires to both ends of the gapped cylinder
- insert plastic tube into gapped cylinder
- put five ferrite rings on the cylinder
- mask both ends with plastic rings
- mask ferrite rings with tape to make it appear like ordinary coil

Usage:

Shock some educated minds and refuse to say how it's made
