Please let us come to the technical side of things...

I am still pondering, why TK uses the 220 Volts wire going to the
round box in the 2004 video.

I guess he also puts this 220 Volts also onto a winding in his coil.

He probably chops the 220 Volts 50 Hz signal up with a high frequency signal and generates this way a 50 Hz modulated RF
carrier wave that might cause the NMR transmutation in iron and thus deliver more amperage.

Why should he otherwise have the 220 Volts wires going into his box ?

He already transformed it to lower voltage and rectified it with the transformer sitting
behind the coil...
SO HE MUST USE THE 220 Volts on his coil.
Otherwise it makes no sense...

Now we have to see, what the light blue inverter exactly puts out as the waveform.

Is this a modified Sine wave inverter ?
Does anybody have a circuit diagram of this Russian inverter ?

Please, patents and greed won't get any progress.

Basically if you all would like to have working ou device, no theory would do it - you need to start with Tesla coil assembly right on your table, then find a way to move it from closed circuit into open (capacitive) circuit. Only after this step ionization can be applied as blackhole for surrounding air/earth neutral particles and then after you make it flow into your Tesla coil, take charge out into capacitors! This is first OU condition. The second condition is to have 1/4 wave resonator from 2 coils what got single wire out each and are wound like 2 capacitor plates with second coil having length of 4x on first coil for 1/4 wave resonator.

So, please post results when you will have this and it will have convincing truth...

Sounds like good experiment I want to try 
I already had good tests with open circuit, maybe you can explain more the second condition?
Where to put the two wires from resonator?

About the 220V 50Hz input. 
If someone wants a quick easy way to get exactly 50 Hz and be in phase with the grid,
this would be the easiest way to do so, without building complex oscillator circuit.   
Just use the 50 Hz grid signal as the circuits oscillator. 
I was thinking of doing the same thing if I wanted the grid frequency.
