That was the HF near-field power transfer that we were discussing.

There is nothing mysterious about it.  A whole room can be converted to such power transmitter by hiding windings in the walls or in a table, floor, etc...

The interesting question is whether nobody would notice anything fishy at 2kW power levels.  TinselKoala seems to think -"yes".

I'm not so sure that genuine 2kW power is really there, but of course I haven't been there to see for myself.

The metal frame of the aquarium would probably be a good match to some of my transmitters. But yes, for 2 kW true power it would require some hefty and fast power transistors in the transmitter, or maybe a tube-type ham radio transmitter or linear amplifier. 4 x 811a triodes could probably do 2 kW at 1 MHz.

I think that there are easier ways for TK to have faked his results, but I just wanted to point out that some extraordinary results can be faked this way in some cases.

I am willing to invest $1000 for such endeavor even without obtaining the details of what's inside the box.
It would be sufficient for me to measure and weigh the "black box" and inspect it "external interfaces" such as the grounding braid and near fields around it for 4h.

Kapandze would probably build you a device for that sum. If you're serious I'll put it to him.
