Well, assuming that this induction method is the secret to the Kapanadze devices and that such a lot has been written about coil shorting as being an important aspect in some FE devices, maybe more experimentation is called for using heavy duty transformers with low turns secondary windings. I think we can reasonably assume that TK was running on power derived from the grid but may have possibly discovered a way of running a heavy load efficiently, or dare I say OU  by pulse shorting a saturated transformer core. With this in mind, did the tin can device consist of a customised toroidal transformer with a thick low turns induction loop to run the lamp load, together with a control coil, pulsed by what I will now term a couple of 'Zeitistors'?? All this could easily fit into the category of 'its so simple you'll laugh'.

May i ask something about your Kapanadze device.

I'm curious to know what is the estimated power input like in watt: VxI base on current setup.

I recalled you mentioned had some problem about efficiency.
This where i suggested using a HV transformer to drive the kapanadze device to see if output can be maintained objective to lower power consumption .
If you go for hv transformer please remove oven capacitor which is  underrated at 1.5KV.Try to create gap from hv hot side instead.Use PWM approach to drive like i am using now instead of using royer oscillator which is around 50% duty cycle.


Another more easy approach is actually use microwave transformer(But i got a feeling that this oven transformer  to produce hv base on current consumption input may not be as good as flyback transformer)  output around 1.5KV...2KV the hv(hot side) goes to the microwave capacitor then to Kapanadze device with no gap.

This will allow you to derive if the driver stage is the root cause of issue.Since high watt was used in existing setup to get hv.
Once any one experiment is done you may able to know if the driver stage is the issue(hopefully) without it's ringing up.This is done by comparing watt input again against lumen output from your light box.

This suggestion of mine  is unconventional way to "debug" a kapanadze device.

Coils:
L1 - Red wire - L1 Coil
L2  -Green Wire L2 Coil
L3-L4- Black wire Output Coils - must be identical - same mass, same number of turns, diameter, isolation etc.

Winding ration 1:3 ; L1-8 turns; L2 24 turns; - both coils have same diameter. L1 wounded over L2. Output coils L3-L4 same diameter min 1.5 mm. Tuning L1 in resonance with L2.  That's all.
