Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run

The World is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round, and it has thrills and chills and is very brightly colored, and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they've begun to question, 'Is this real, or is this just a ride?', and other people have remembered, and they've come back to us and they say 'Hey, don't worry. Don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.' and we KILL THOSE PEOPLE.

"Shut him up! We have a lot invested in this ride! SHUT HIM UP! Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account, and my family. This just has to be real."

It's just a ride.

But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that. You ever noticed that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because ... It's just a ride.

And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear wants you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead see all of us as one.

Here's what we can do to change the world right now, to a better ride:

Take all that money we spent on weapons and defense each year and instead spend it feeding, clothing, and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and WE CAN EXPLORE SPACE, TOGETHER, BOTH INNER AND OUTER, forever ... in peace.

-- Bill Hicks (1961 - 1994)

rest in peace bill...

like you said lee,its far from a done deal.House passed a bill but now it goes to the senate.Maybe it will pass????
It did pass.  But so what?  Too many legislators are complaining it's either not enough of a financial remedy or it take us in a closer direction toward Greece's problems.  And a credit downgrade has its own set of problems to saddle us with.

Anyway even if it passes the senate the dollar is in decline.I bought some silver back when it was 25.25 .an oz saw it drop to 17 something, had to wait a year to see it climb back up to about 48 then drop to about 34.00.Since the 1970s I have always had a see/saw relationship with gold and silver.I would buy it. ...Of course I never made money doing this. ...
Oh, yeah!  I collected coins when I was younger and never made money off them.  Expensive hobby.

Run into a tight spot where I always sold for less than I bought it.  ...  So I tried to learn better.I went into stocks but it took five years to make a profit.I am glad you got paid today.I hope you get paid from now on too.triffid
Everyone in my building is concerned, but now that the bill will be signed by the President, we'll get paid.
Little comfort, still.  Congress kicked the can down the road again.  There's no end to this!

NOTE:
I've looked at the poll on this thread, and I believe it one of the biggest at OU.  The percentage of those who think the economy will never recover has hovered around 52% for many months.
This thread is also one of the longest ones the "News" Forum, as well.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

Yeah it finally passed..WASHINGTON (AP) â€" The Senate emphatically passed emergency legislation Tuesday to avoid a first-ever government default, rushing the legislation to President Barack Obama for his signature just hours before the deadline. The vote was 74-26.

Obama signed the bill little more than an hour later.

Tuesday's vote capped an extraordinarily difficult Washington battle pitting tea party Republican forces in the House against Obama and Democrats controlling the Senate. The resulting compromise paired an essential increase in the government's borrowing cap with promises of more than $2 trillion of budget cuts over the next decade.

"It's an important first step to ensuring that as a nation we live within our means," Obama said after the vote.

But I agree the pain will still continue. The dollar will fall further and that inflation is still on its way.2013-2016 may be the years we start seeing 10% and more.

Europe is still a chronic sore spot on the worldwide economic landscape.  Every one of their economic systems is weaker than ours.  If it isn't the U.S. Congress, it's Greece, Spain, Italy, or some other country.  "One thing or another."

As I said, "This isn't ever going end!"   Trust me, I've seen this in history more than once.  Pre-WWII Germany and the 1980's Balkans are two examples.
