you need to run some numbers. how many ounces of
gold silver etc in a ton of phones?
how are you going to process them, what will it cost to set up,what will it cost per ton to process?
safety, waste disposal and last but by no means least how many phones to the ton and how to get them?
my father and i collect scrap, nothing super organized. we pull nails into a pail they go, work on the truck, old parts on the pile.
bits and pieces that come our way. he took in 2 loads this year and got 100$. good money for cleaning up the place
but no way to get rich.

There is no way of knowing how high the price of gold is going to be with the government printing all of this money.I posted an article that gave numbers on a ton of cell phones.Here is a section of that  article that gave numbers.A metric ton is 2240 lbs.  Now imagine a much smaller pile weighing just 1 metric ton of cell phones. One ton. Did you know that gold and other precious metals can be recycled from your your cell phone? Compared to the mountainous pile of 17 tons of gold ores, more gold can be recovered from this heap during cell phone recycling than  what can be extracted from 17 tons of gold ores. A ton of cell phones can yield as much as  280 grams of gold, about 140 grams of platinum and palladium, and 140 kilograms of copper. There’s also plastic and glass that can be recycled from used cell phones.  You have to decide if its worth your while.I would certainly not throw any away.And if I could not process them myself I would find someone who could. triffid

Todays price for gold was $1884.20 an ounce.Soon it could be $3000 an oz.To me it makes sense to have some on hand.scrap or otherwise.triffid

my phone is maybe half a pound. that's 4000 to the ton.280/4000=.07
lets be generous and call it .2 grams of good stuff in my phone.
that's around 10 bucks is it not?
to get that out you need to do what? grind it up like they do ore at the mill.
then wash the gold out with chemicals.
then separate the gold from the wash.
almost certainly this will require some nasty stuff, it will not be free, your profit will be?
as for keeping some of your wealth in gold that's a whole other question.
when you sell your dads house buy ten ounces of gold, put it in the safe your going to cement into the floor of
your house. then consider what you can do to put your money to work. right now an AR-15 with a 26 inch stainless barrel
and night vision and laser sites might be worth more than the gold.
the wise man says a thing is worth what you can get for it or what you will pay for it, market price is a fiction.
your utube guy sounds like he has something for sale that won't make you any money.
where i work we don't sell people on doing what we do, we sell them on paying us to do it for them.
like i say run the numbers all the numbers and see if it will pay you.
