Our problem folks, and it is a world wide problem, is the central banksters. They have tricked us into believing in fiat currency and that it has value. All fiat currencies throughout history have failed, every single one of them. Some fiats have failed faster than others, but fiats always go to their true value.... ZERO. The Federal Reserve Bank in the USA is not in any way a government agency, it is a privately owned bank. It is the 3rd private bank that has had a grip on the USA. This private bank, the FRB owns our government, they are in complete control of the USA.

The economic mess we find ourselves in today is no accident, it is by design. One way of protecting what wealth you may have is to get your money out of the banks and have it in your own hands. Your money is not safe in the bank. Another way is to buy gold and/or silver as these two metals are the only REAL money, they have been for over 5 thousands years.
When you see the price of goods going up in the stores, realize that.... it's not the value of the items going up, but the value of your dollar going down. Having gold and silver have been a good thing for people whenever there has been a crash of their fiat currency. Let's take a quick look at the Wiemar Republic, Germany January 1919 to November 1923.

I have to agree with you, Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes. I, too, came from a financially illiterate, immigrant family, and though we were financially illiterate, my parents always said, when you get your pay check, put aside 10% for church and 10% for you (savings). So, growing up, I always knew that 20% of my income would be accounted for. So, though I didn't know about fancy ways to invest or to acquire property, I sure knew how to save, and I remember when I was in graduate school (between 2004 - 2006), friends would admonish me to stop sitting on all that savings and use  it as a down-payment on a home, but I just did not feel comfortable with that because I saw all these condos flying up and people putting their life savings and borrowing against their 401K's to get in on the boom. The hysteria troubled me terribly, so I just decided to keep the money in the bank, and boy, I'm glad I did. Though I am still a renter, if times get hard in my local economy, and I have to leave to find work elsewhere, I have my savings I can use to move or to fall back on while I look for work.
Sometimes risk-taking is overrated.

Like I said,I wish I could say it to all you guys out there,HOW TO SAVE!.At least I could post it here after cutting it out of somewhere else.
I did learn to save 10 percent for myself back in the 1990s and it totally made the difference in my life.After a few years of saving and investing I was able to buy most any car I ever wanted.I still drove chevys and fords.triffid
